Hello, I'm Annie

I was born and raised in a small town in northern Kentucky. I grew up surrounded by people who were different than me. My father is from Guatemala, and my mother is from Ecuador. In the tiny town I grew up in, however, I was one of 5 Hispanic children (except my brothers), all of whom came from very strong Mexican roots. Everyone else in this tiny town was white, and so I was left to deal with my cultural background on my own. Now, at the ripe age of 22, I am a full-time student at Georgetown College, where I have discovered and developed my love for writing and sharing ideas. I am double-majoring in International Business and Religion. I am a member of the Oxford Honors Program and am currently the Editor-In-Chief of The Georgetonian.
